After many years of recruiting within financial services, Danielle built a reputation for being honest, thoughtful and trusted, by both clients and candidates. She became known for saying what others would not: when a hire was mistimed, when expectations were unrealistic, or when a role or candidate was simply not the right fit.

That philosophy led to the writing of Honest Recruiter – a book reflecting on how recruitment should be practiced when integrity and judgement are placed ahead of incentives. Fleetwood Saunders was created to embody that approach in practice: a calm, advisory-led search firm focusing on helping clients make better leadership decisions, not just faster hires, and respecting the candidates journey throughout.

Danielle’s career has covered recruiting within a range of specialisms in the financial services market. Starting her career in Accountancy & Finance, she then moved into Legal and Compliance and more recently Wealth Management & Financial Planning.
